Leyah revolutionizes music in Romania: "Cinestezia", the first cinematic-pop tour, reaches the big stages in the country

Leyah, the artist who is rewriting the rules of music in Romania, brings to important stages, in a national premiere, a cinematic-pop tour. A unique style that combines the energy, emotion and dynamics of pop and film music, influenced by classical music, with a unique visual arts show. The "Cinestezia" tour, which will start in Craiova and end in the capital, will reach eight cities this fall.

Leyah, known for her presence at prestigious events such as Eurovision, the "George Enescu" Festival and Romanian Creative Week, is a pioneer of the cinematic-pop genre in Romania. This musical style, inspired by international trends, is gaining increasing popularity on major stages worldwide. With an innovative artistic vision, Leyah will take her audience on a captivating sonic journey throughout her national tour, performing original compositions both vocally and on piano, alongside a team of six artists on bass, drums, and strings.

"Cinestezia" is not just a concert but a complex sensory experience, where pop and cinematic music blend harmoniously with a visual show that ignites the imagination. Known for her depth and vocal sensitivity, Leyah expresses that, through this Romanian tour, she aims to create an authentic show that fully represents her.

"My lifelong dream has been to bring pop music and my voice to the stage in a unique form. I hope that this combination of pop, cinema, and classical influences will reach a diverse audience in Romania. From the concerts I've held so far and the many messages I've received, I’ve been overjoyed to see that young audiences are absolutely fascinated by the Cinestezia experience. The tour in October and November will, however, offer a much more complex story than what Cinestezia concerts have been up to now," says Leyah.

The national tour, supported by BRD - Groupe Société Générale, includes the following cities:

  • Craiova (October 3) – National Theatre "Marin Sorescu," "Amza Pellea" Hall

  • Râmnicu-Vâlcea (October 4) – "Anton Pann" Theatre, Main Hall

  • Piatra Neamț (October 10) – Youth Theatre, Main Hall

  • Brașov (November 1) – Brașov Philharmonic

  • Ploiești (November 3) – "Toma Caragiu" Theatre

  • Pitești (November 8) – Pitești Philharmonic

  • Galați (November 16) – National Theatre of Opera and Operetta "Nae Leonard," part of the 20th edition of the "Leonard" International Festival

  • Bucharest (November 18) – National Theatre, Studio Hall

Leyah, daughter of the well-known conductor Modest Cichirdan, began her musical journey at just five years old. For the artist, who went on to study at the Conservatory in Bucharest, the first 12 years of school in Craiova meant countless hours of piano practice, concerts, and competitions. At 16, she debuted alongside an orchestra on the stage of the Craiova Philharmonic, conducted by her father.

"In my family, music was always a way of life. My father, a conductor, and my mother, an English teacher and passionate music lover, instilled a love of music in my sister and me. This naturally steered me toward art and beauty, shaping who I am today as a pop and cinematic music soloist and composer. I hope that the Cinestezia tour will bring many surprises and unforgettable experiences for the audience," the artist adds.

The first "Cinestezia" concert, musically and scenically adapted differently from what the artist has prepared for the current tour, was first heard last year on the stage of "Maior Gheorghe Pastia" Theatre in Focșani. "This time, along with my musical team, we aim to prepare a show that breaks down barriers between seemingly opposing musical genres – pop and classical. I want each concert in the eight cities to be an experience the audience will never forget. Cinestezia is a tour for which I want to thank BRD, the partner accompanying us on this artistic journey," says Leyah.

BRD Groupe Société Générale invests in the new generation of creators, in art and music, supporting hundreds of events and programs each year. It is the only bank with a cultural foundation – Fundatia9, its own cultural center – Rezidența9, and the cultural magazine Scena9, one of today's most relevant Romanian journalism outlets.

BRD believes that tomorrow's world can be better if we invest today in the leaders and projects of the new generation, offering programs and platforms for recognition and bringing the public closer to artistic creation. Culture opens our minds, souls, and imagination, helping us explore different worlds, understand others better, and discover ourselves. Culture is, ultimately, a laboratory where we can always imagine "what if"… better worlds, alternative worlds, the future.

Tickets for the "Cinestezia" tour concerts are now on sale and can be purchased on the website www.iabilet.ro.

Throughout the tour, the organizers will announce how tickets can be purchased for the other locations in the country.
